Begin reading chapter 7. As you read think about what you might write in your diary about this chapter. When you are finished reading begin writing by using one of the reader response starters. Think about the descriptions of each building the class is visiting in Washington D.C.

Instructions for activity:

1.     As you look at the virtual tour guide pick out your favorite building.

2.   Pick up a copy of the building map at the front table

3.   Use the web to fill in information about the building you find most interesting

4.   Be sure to include the name of the building in the middle of the web labeled “Topic”

5.   In each of the bubbles write one thing about that building that makes it interesting to you.
