Moving on to Chapter 5
Read
through chapter 5 and think of what you may write in your diary. When you are
finished reading write a few sentences about the chapter using the reader
response starters. Hand in your diary to be looked at it will be given back to
you if you need to make any changes.
In
this chapter the class talks about their diary and that it is going to the
President to read. Your activity for this chapter will be to write a letter to
the President!
Instructions
for writing a letter to the President:
1.
Open your diary to the page that starts “Dear President…”
2.
Think about what you would want to tell the
President of the United States. This may include:
a.
Ideas of what you would like the President
to change
b.
Questions you may have about their job
c.
What you would like to tell the President
about yourself
3.
When you are done writing make sure you
sign you name at the bottom.
You
will have a chance to share your letter at the end of the day.
