This webquest will be used by the students throughout the unit Look Out Washington D.C. as a tool to independently access information for the activities which relate to the unit. This unit is based on the book Look Out Washington D.C. by Patricia Reily Giff. It is about a class taking a field trip to Washington D.C. Each activity in the WebQuest relates to that particular chapter. One lesson is read during each lesson with the exclusion of one lesson. Students will be going to this site after each reading to see what their assignment is for that lesson. This gives students the freedom to work at their own pace and consult with their group members if they are having trouble or are asked to discuss a finished product of theirs. This lesson will allow students to become actively involved with the use of computers and specific sites while learning about information they are reading about in a novel.
